Writs & Cures: Supporting young people through cancer

In this edition of Writs and Cures the team are joined by two special guests from Canteen Australia – the national organisation dedicated to helping young people deal with the challenges of cancer. A third of Australians experience cancer at some stage in their life, but perhaps one of the hardest times is during adolescence.

Joey Lynch, who experienced cancer as a teenager, and has now joined Canteen and Peter Orchard, the CEO of Canteen, talk about their experiences and work.

In this week’s Soapbox segment Bill O’Shea takes a closer look at section 44 of the Constitution – the bit that prohibits foreign nationals from serving in parliament – and asks whether it was ever intended to apply to British subjects.

Join Lindy Burns for Writs and Cures every Tuesday night on ABC Radio Melbourne & Victoria from 8pm.
